ASSISTANT VETERINARY SURGEON
We are currently recruiting for a new/recent graduate wishing to develop their career in small animal practice. The position will expect the candidate to have a positive attitude to their development, put the books away and learn the practical skills required to be an effective first opinion practitioner. This starts with the ability to serve the client and get to know them as a person and engage to ensure informed consent. You will build on your day one competencies in a supportive atmosphere, guided by an advanced practitioner. Candidates will be expected to complete their PDP with ease and take on further professional tasks to contribute to the services provided to clients.

This allows you to fully understand the commitment involved and make sure it’s the job for you, it also ensures that you can be accommodated. Work experience placements are competitive and we can only take one student at a time, because of this we ask that you send a copy of your CV and a covering letter to the practice manager who will be able to help you further.
EMS STUDENTS STUDYING VETERINARY MEDICINE AT UNIVERSITY
We provide placements to both home and international students with on site accommodation. Places are limited and we recommend booking a placement at least six months before the intended date. We offer a comprehensive placement where you will be given hands on experience of first opinion practice and emergency and critical care work.
